This project opens the house to the cool backyard shade garden by removing an existing rear addition, adding a deck and renovating the kitchen and dining areas. By opening up the kitchen to the dining room and adding an island along with re-locating the exterior entrance, the kitchen became both brighter and more functional even though it’s size was reduced by the installation of a Powder Room. The 2nd floor washroom was also updated while retaining its original character. New wall tiles, marmoleum flooring, plumbing fixtures and stone counter refreshed this ocean themed washroom.
